Who am I ?
I'm BOU/, a French artist, producer, life-coach and designer from Paris.
As a kid, I was very shy and introverted. My Mum registered me in every kind of activity she could find to help me open myself to the world.
As I come from a very sportive family (my grand-father Antoine MARTIN was a boxing champion) I played tennis for 10 years. I stopped at 14 years old because I unfortunately, hurt my shoulder. My best accomplishment has been to play at Roland-Garros for the French championship for the category -12 years old.
But in all of this, I always loved music and I wanted to be like my favorite artists. So at 14, I met the big brothers of my neighborhood who helped me create my very first songs. Then, they were organizing open-mics, so this is how I started at Café La Pêche.
These open-mics led me to contests, showcases, concerts, first parts, festivals, interviews, TVs.. I was finally living my musical dream !!
BUT, if I had all this success it's because some people BELIEVED in me and gave me my chance 🥹 The big brothers and big sisters that I met along the way taught me how to believe in my talent and I ended by loving myself..
So I decided that it was my time to be the big sister !! I created my own music label to help young artists who didn't trust themselves and/or like me in the past, wanted to go into the music industry but didn't know how, so I was putting them in contact with other musicians, beatmakers, producers and was giving them opportunities to go on stage, on webradios and also to produce their very first songs.
This was the best and worst 3 years of my life.. The best because I was realizing my dream to be an entrepreneur but the worst because I was only 19 and I made all the mistakes that an entrepreneur does when he first launches his project. Meaning mixing friends and business, not being able to set my boundaries, say no, I didn't even know that manager was a real job 😭 I felt from the Eiffel Tower 🥲
So I decided to quit everything and to leave my country. I arrived in Portugal, Lisbon. I found my 40h job and decided that I will stop music for good because these last years have been way too painful 🥴
I decided to continue for the little sisters from my neighborhood..
Then, while in Portugal, I received this photo from one of the big sisters from my city who tells me that everytime her granddaughter sees this photo they have at home, she always tells her how beautiful and amazing I am and that they can't wait to see me perform again..
I arrived in Spain and performed for the big festival Cruïlla !!
This was just the best day of my life !!!! 5th of July 2023, I perform for one of the biggest festivals in Barcelona, sponsored by Adidas, the dream.. I even have an article in the national press "La Vanguardia" 🤩
Can you imagine if I really stopped everything in 2021 ?
After the festival Cruïlla, I decided to make a documentary "Never Stop Dreaming" to inspire people with my journey.
I realized that the values of every person who has inspired me while growing up share these 3 values, LOVE, FAITH, RESILIENCE.
And today, they are also mine..
(LOVE) Because I love my art, my career and my music so much.
(FAITH) I have hope that one day the world will know my story.
(RESILIENCE) I've been through a lot with people who wanted to destroy me but GUESS WHAT ? I'm still here and I will continue to realize my purpose no matter what because my name is written in the stars.. ✨
